Miss Madeline is 3 1/2 years old now! I can’t believe how time flies! I also can’t believe that she can take cell phones and call people!!! She recognizes names, so this is quite easy for her!! This summer has been so much fun! We have spent many days at the pool where Madeline has been practicing her swimming skills. She sure loves the water. At swim lessons she started as a Guppy, went to Goldfish, and now she’s a Dolphin. She also passed a float test which is where the kids are thrown into the water with all their clothes (including socks and shoes) and they have to get into a floating position and float to the side of the pool where they are safe. She had to do this 3 times. She did great!!!

Madeline had her first haircut at an actual salon. It was very cute and it is all for the kids and she loved the pampering!!! We have also gone to “dive” in movies. This excited Madeline probably the most because it involved a pool, some of her favorite movies, and staying up way past bedtime!! We also saw an amazing fireworks display for the 4th of July where we again stayed up way past bedtime. This was the first year that Madeline wasn’t afraid of the loud noises and truly had a fun time!!!
Another one of her favorite days was spent with her cousins at Splashway waterpark. It was such a happy day for everyone. Too bad we only have one picture from the whole day!!! Speaking of cousins, Madeline was so excited to meet her new baby cousin Sean Warren last week. She loved holding him and kissed him on the head and said “he’s precious.”

It has been an amazing summer and we still have a few fun things left before the kids return to school!!!

Here are a few pictures I found from splash day and some taken today at home with Ella and Dillon. Splash day was in April at school and she had so much fun. I think she enjoyed the snow cone, squirting Ryan, and of course the water! She was a little disappointed that there was no pool, but she got over it. I also found a few pictures of her taken at swim lessons and the pool. She’s a good swimmer and quite the character!!!

Summer has officially started! We are so excited to begin summer. Madeline had a fantastic year at school and is ready for her new school in the fall that is much closer to home!! The end of the school year brought many activities at school. She had splash day, a mother’s day breakfast, silly day, and an end of the year party. Madeline has also started swim lessons. She can float on her back, dive for rings (we help her get to the bottom and she picks up the rings and comes up all alone), jump in and get her face up out of the water and start floating on her back. She did all this in a 2 week class!! Now she goes one day a week. Charlie and I had her at the pool this weekend and she decided she wanted us to let go of her so she can swim alone. She swam back and forth between us until we made her rest! She’s a little fish! We are so proud of her. Here are some pictures from all of our recent activities. Yesterday Nanny and Tahte surprised Madeline and Braden with new bikes!!! Madeline was so excited. She kept saying over and over “I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe Nanny and Tahtee bought me a new bike!” They are the best! Here are some pictures and a video. Enjoy!!

Since Madeline’s birthday (just over a month ago) we have had so much fun. We have had a Valentine’s party at school, visited Granny and everyone in Louisiana, had a school rodeo, and our first real trip to the dentist. Madeline has also become completely potty trained (mommy finally let go of the pull ups at night)!! She is always full of energy and attitude! We like to tell Madeline “Chill Bill” which turned into simply calling her “Bill” when she’s acting wild. When I asked her the other night why she was being so crazy she said “It’s Bill!” We laughed so hard. One day I told her “Come on girlfriend” and she replied “No Mom. Only Nanny can call me that”! Madeline has also learned how to spell her name. She’s growing up so fast! Here are a ton of pictures from the past month! Enjoy!

Today is Madeline’s 3rd birthday!! I can’t believe how fast she has grown up. She had her birthday party and had a blast. Madeline loved all the attention being the birthday girl brought her. Thank you all for being a part of her day. She’s one lucky girl! She had her annual party at home as well as a party at school. Her teachers at school made her a crown that she decorated and they sang to her at music class. She was on cloud nine all day.
Madeline’s interest these days are hello kitty, minnie mouse, Dora, anything outside, being bossy, clothes (watch out Daddy!!), and of course being Daddy’s princess. Here are pictures from her birthday party at school, home, and a few favorites from the last few months.

Well Madeline has been a busy girl since we last updated. She has become potty trained (woohoo), enjoyed her summer and 1st vacation to the beach, moved into a new house, and started a new year at school. We must not forget that through all of this she has been adjusting to becoming a big sister. Madeline is growing up so fast. Each day her vocabulary grows and grows. I think my favorite word so far is “because”! Madeline’s favorite word is “maybe”! Madeline has become extremely independent. She dresses herself (mommy picks the clothes for the daytime and she picks out her pj’s!!), asks you to “please leave” when she’s in the potty so she can go alone, and loves to help dig Braden out of things (because she gets to boss him around!). She is my little drama queen!! Here are pictures from this past year.

Madeline is 2! Can you believe it? At her 2 year check up she weighed 31.5 lbs (90th percentile) and was 36 inches tall (90th percentile). She talks a ton and is FULL of personality. For her 2nd birthday she had a birthday party where everyone she loves came to our house and celebrated with us. She is one lucky girl! Here are a few pictures from her birthday.
